Policies

OUR POLICIES

To keep things orderly and to provide a sense of continuity and fairness to all of our clients, there are some policies that we have here at Haven Transitional Living We have certain requirements for applications and admissions, Rules we set forth to put our houses a step above the rest, policies for keeping everyone safe, clean and sober and as a resident of Haven Transitional living you also have rights as an occupant. DRUG TESTING POLICY

Residents of Haven Transitional Living will be submitted to random and scheduled Urinalysis and breathalyzer testing administered on- site by house managers and staff. Both tests will be administered on admission and can be administered at the discretion of the staff at any time during your stay. We will also administer testing if you are late from curfew or returning from an overnight pass. When notified that they must take a Urinalysis test, the client will have one hour from the time of notification to provide a sample. Failure or refusal to provide a sample will result in automatic expulsion from the residence. All residents will remain clean and sober their entire time of residence in our houses.

  • Amphetamines (AMP)
  • Barbiturates (BAR)
  • Benzodiazepines (BZO)
  • Cocaine (COC)
  • Ecstasy (MDMA)
  • Morphine (MOP)
  • Marijuana (THC)
  • Methamphetamine (MET)
  • Methadone (MTD)
  • Opiates (OPI)
  • Oxycodone (OXY)
  • Phencyclidine (PCP)

In the event that a resident tests positive for any of the above substances or registers as positive on a Blood Alcohol Breathalyzer you will be immediately required to leave the property and your belongings removed within 24 hours. These tests are proven to be over 99% accurate. To cover the potential for human error, cross contamination, readings from prescribed medications or other factors resulting in a false positive, we will conduct another test. If Haven Retreat Living is unable to provide another test, the resident will have a five-hour window to get to the nearest hospital and check themselves in to have a drug screen performed. You will be responsible for any costs associated with the hospital screening and for the original reading to be overturned you must return immediately from the hospital with documentation of the following:

  • Exact name on discharge paperwork and bracelet
  • The Date and time within 5 hours of the original test administered by Haven Retreat Living
  • Specification that you tested negative for the substance indicated as positive.
